Premiere March 17th 2022 at Studio Hrdinů, Prague
Original title Romanticky rozprašuji vlastní popel
Synopsis A stage essay about grief and photography. Based on selected excerpts from Roland Barthes’ books (Camera Lucida, Roland Barthes by Roland Barthes and Mourning Diary). The production is divided into five chapters that follow the various acts of the photographer (Exposure, Frame, Focus, Wait, Shutter). Actors on stage create photographs in real time and interact with them in various ways, translating photographic principles into physical stage images and situations. The production was also inspired by the poetics of the French writer and photographer Edouard Levé.
